How to Pitch Real Estate Investors in 15 Seconds

Carmine Gallo calls his a “Message Map”.

I call mine the One-Page JV Real Estate Presentation.

Same diff.

Basically, within 15 seconds – you can explain your real estate to someone…

Yup.

Check out what Carmine explains here:  (the only irony is the video at 4:35 LOL )

Here’s my take on it:

Even though we are not ‘selling’ a physical product ( and I could probably debate that one too ), it’s important that you’re able to explain your deal between 30-60 seconds.

The message map is a great way of brainstorming your highest level points.

The One-Page JV Presentation takes it one step further, because it’s not a FULL presentation. But, it helps you explain your real estate deal to people quickly.

Here’s an example of my One-Page Real Estate JV Presentation:

1-Page JV Presentation

This is great because you’ll be able to filter out people who are not really interested in what you have to sell.

In other words…the people “just looking”.

“people wasting my time” is one of the biggest complaints I heard from my real estate investor students.

Because the quick presentation is designed to satisfy ALL the personality types we’ll encounter (which is probably best for another post)…so it makes it easier to communicate quickly, without any scripts, to get the most qualified joint venture investors we can.

Twitter Friendly Headline

I love how Carmine uses the “twitter friendly headline” as the starting point to breakdown your message.

What’s YOUR twitter friendly headline for your real estate?

Mine would probably be something like “I use high-quality real estate rentals to build my wealth”

If I spent more time on it, I could probably come up with a few more ‘catchy’ headlines…but the point is, that one would probably turn a few heads, don’t you agree?

(and BTW, this doesn’t necessarily mean you’re using this on Twitter…it’s just the exercise to communicate your message in under 140 characters)

If you’re real estate deal is too hard to explain in under a minute…it’s probably too complicated for the general investor.

And this is where I see a lot of real estate investors fail…banging their head against the wall trying to figure out why people aren’t investing with them.

Thing is, start with an easy-to-follow ‘map’ like the one Carmine is talking about.

Better yet – check out the 1-Page JV Presentation right here so it’s adapted to your real estate.
