It happened again…the real estate passion lie.
Just like it always does.
I was speaking at another real estate workshop last week…
And I boldly stood up and said “Real Estate is NOT your passion”.
Of course, you can imagine the reaction I got from it…
One guy in particular had this look on his face like “what the heck is wrong with you”?
Except I don’t believe he was thinking the word “heck”. It was probably a word similar to “truck” LOL.
The reason most of them were mad is because they believe in real estate passion.
In fact, almost EVERY real estate investor I run into thinks the same thing.
It’s such a “hot” topic of discussion, that I dedicated a full chapter to it in my book.

The reason I do this challenge, is to “wake people up” so they’re not chasing money and “opportunities”, wasting away the very freedom they’re after in the first place.
In other words, there’s a DEEPER reason, other than money, you and me are buying real estate.
Real Estate Passion Is A Lie
So I challenged that dude in front of everyone to prove this point…
And to help EVERYONE in the room FIND their true “passion”.
I asked him “what is your goal for real estate investing?”
He said “to make 5 million dollars”
“Why do you want to make 5 million dollars?” I asked him
“Because right now, I’m donating money to help schools in my home country of Indonesia – when I make that money, I want to be able to build FULL schools for them”.
Pretty freakin’ amazing, right?
“So when you reach 5 million dollars, in cash, like you said, are you STILL going to go out, look for properties, put up tenants and so on?”
He started to answer – but QUICKLY caught himself “Well…OHHHHH, I get where you’re going…NO – I wouldn’t.” With a BIG smile on his face
“So is REAL ESTATE your passion, or is BUILDING SCHOOLS in Indonesia to help your home country and the people your passion?” I confirmed.
I had him. He knew it. I knew it. The group knew it.
But it’s not a “win-lose” thing – it’s a reality check thing.
And that’s what I want for YOU.
To REALLY tap into what real estate is going to DO for you…so you STOP procrastinating and START doing whatever you have to do to live your true passion….which is NOT a real estate passion.
