For real estate agents: How to use Windows on Mac

I’m constantly asked by my coaching clients, students and workshop attendees how to use Windows on Mac computers…

So I thought I’d give you the big “secret” so you can  ‘hang with the cool kids’ and use a Mac – 🙂

Whatever Windows-only program is holding you hostage to a PC, you can run it on a Mac.

Here’s how to use Windows on Mac:

First, your Mac will automatically run Windows on what’s called BootCamp:

Here’s Apple’s directions on how to do that:

https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201468

This simply means you have the choice to boot into Windows or MacOS when you start your computer.

Pretty cool right?

Don’t think a PC can do that.

The problem is…

As far as I know – you have to be in one or the other.

Which is why I like the second option

In my opinion, this is how to run Windows on Mac:

Use Parallels Desktop.

This awesome program runs windows ALONGSIDE (read:at the same time) your MacOS.

It allows you to run Windows programs just like they were installed on your Mac…

No difference.

Here’s a screen shot of this baby running on my system:

As you can see, this is a “window” that’s running Windows and QuickBooks Pro (which is a windows-only program)

I could choose to run QuickBooks (and Windows) without it’s own “window” – which means it will just look like any other mac program I open.

Check out the link I gave you above (no, it’s not an affiliate link) for more info…

If you want the best of both worlds…this is how you do it..

And, you can now hang with the ‘cool kids’ at Starbucks when you open you laptop with the Apple logo displayed proudly

LOL 🙂

Let me know what you think – let’s get a conversation going…
