What was your past weekend like? Did you take in anything new to grow your Real Estate business? I know more than 600 Real Estate investors attended the ACRE event in Toronto hosted by REIN and my friend Don R. Campbell. These people dedicated more than 20 hours to learn the fundamentals of investing in real estate … bravo!
I’m sure the ‘new’ attendees found, as I did, that REIN was a major difference from the ‘get rich tomorrow’ seminars where I foolishly dropped thousands of dollars at the back of the room. When I moved over to them in 2007, the critical information-only was the pivot I needed for my ‘business model’ to work because let’s face it, I didn’t know ‘jack’ about real estate, and I could have easily been duped out of thousands more with false promises from other ‘gurus’.
What I DID know however, was a LOT about business which at the time didn’t matter because I needed to learn HOW and WHERE to apply that business experience. Over the next few years, I learned to validate and define my investment model.
This past weekend was bitter-sweet for me because it was the first time I’ve missed an ACRE event; spending time with my friends and colleagues while having the chance to meet and help aspiring new Real Estate entrepreneurs is something I truly love to do. I remember how I felt when I first walked into the room at REIN ‘surprised’ that everyone wanted to help me.
I immediately felt (through the Law of Reciprocation) that I needed to give back, to help other people in the best way I knew how. Fast forward to last summer when I began the mission to help Real Estate business owners (investors, realtors, etc.) exponentially grow their businesses in ways they have never imagined by adding AN INDIVIDUALIZED FOCUSED LEVEL to their journey.
And this is the point I want to make
about helping your customers solve their problems.
Without attending seminars and workshops like REIN, without talking and engaging in people’s stories and dreams, identifying their true problems and caring about them, I would never have discovered my true potential in helping others.
I don’t care how corny it sounds, but if you don’t have a cause that brings tears to your eyes when you talk about it, then it’s not a big enough “WHY” you’re doing what you do.
So I’ll openly admit that I am, like I know my partner Mike is…emotionally attached to our belief in why we do what we do to help others.
Constant And Never Ending Improvement

It felt a bit weird not being at ACRE this weekend where it all started for me so I could donate my time helping others face to face, but I was in San Diego with MY personal coaches Greg Habstritt and Kourosh Assef who have shown nothing but deep connection to their cause. I was very fortunate to meet and hang-out with the world’s TOP business leaders and High-level thinkers such as Peter Diamandis, Dr. Robert Chialdini, Brian Tracy, John Assaraf & Rich Shefren.
These influential people are truly changing the world and I’m excited that I too am growing to a level of higher awareness for my business & my life. I’m motivated to share everything with you as we grow together.
Growing your business exponentially is about surrounding yourself with more and more influential positive people, never forgetting where you came from and who helped you get here.
That said, I could not be in two places at once & feel my decision was right because it fit the natural progression of commitment to excellence and serving others as my primary cause.
Today, I make every effort to give back major value to the world that gave me so much and the inner peace from that is indescribable. I wish the same for you and over the next several months, I am committing to stepping up right here to help you in your business because I can only help a very select few in person for now. I hope you’ll continue to visit.
I’m very grateful to everyone that has entered my life, especially since the beginning of MY internal shift in 2005.
Hi Joe,
I was one of the guests at REIN this past weekend. I was fortunate (agressive) enough to win a free pass and have to say,in hindsight, it was like winning the lottery. In the period of two days I experienced a great deal of fear and reassurance, lows and highs, exhaustion and hyper excitement as I watched my dreams and ideas collapse and re-emerge refined.
With three properties including a reno under my belt, I thought I was well on my way. I learned this weekend, I’ve barely gotten started.
Hi Steve!!! I'm very happy to hear this! Congratulations on your curve of learning! You are in the position of many of our clients whom have experienced some of the same realizations – you're now inside and elite group of people that are like-minded who will support and help you in your journey. I know that we also have a consultation call coming up to drill more into the business and life balance side, and we can chat more about what you think are your roadblocks and where your target is if you know precisely what that is.
I would suggest that you congratulate yourself in what you have done "without" the information – I am always amazed at people like you that go out and do that because even with all my business experience I had many chances to get into real estate but would not 'jump'…so bravo! We'll talk next week! Have all your challenges ready and I'll take you to a new level of thinking 🙂
