Short and sweet one today.
I spent a bit of time during my “weekly” review to file.
It’s not the filing that’s the cool part, it’s WHAT I filed.
“Thank You’s” and positive notes from people I’ve coached and helped recently.
They go into what I like to call my “positive binder”.
It really comes in handy when the ‘dips’ come. When I’m feeling down or whatever…
Do YOU have a “Positive Binder?”
Sounds silly maybe, but from all of the stuff I’ve learned throughout my years, there’s two things that will keep you going more than anything:
1. gratitude (I mean the REAL stuff, not just something others make up to keep a ‘journal’ going)
2. self-love (recognition) for what you’ve done
For some reason, humans have trouble with this one.
Go ahead, it’s cool to recognize all that you’ve done because it will do more for you when you are facing those hard challenges.
Anyhoo…
Just a short note to say “hi” and that I KNOW you’ve done something extra cool for someone.
Write that down now and start your own positive binder! Â That’s your first piece.
Then, go through your saved emails…print out the ones where people have thanked you, said something great about your work. Print them out and store them in that binder!
– More later!
