Standing Out!!!

differentI’ve been receiving an astonishing increase in email and personal facebook messages regarding this blog so I wanted to take the time to acknowledge all my readers.  It is fantastic to know you are enjoying the written words on these virtual pages and how my ‘stepping out’ inspires your choices.  I have made a habit of checking the stats on the sites’ visits and WOW I am happy to announce in these short five months I have topped 5 thousand hits.

I THANK you for accepting my blog into your routine and would LOVE if you followed me on the right hand side of the page so we can virtually meet!  It would open an entirely new level for both of us.

I also encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and comment away for everyone to join the conversation; there is no judgment here, we can all learn from eachothers insights and point of view.

Many of you have asked why there is a lag between posts “is it hard for you to come up with topics?” one person wrote.  Not at all, in fact I have months’ worth of topics written already in which I draw from…but I first I write without thinking to express my unlimited soul to the page and then go back to edit my ‘book’ down to an acceptable post applicable for the day.  And sometimes I am just caught up in doing my job and helping my joint venture partners, or meeting people at Starbucks (yea they are making me addicted to that now) for a quick chat.

My pet peeve is when someone blogs ‘just to blog’ (none of the ones I subscribe to btw 🙂 but you know what I’m talking about ) to make it look like they have something to say all the time. Please, if you decide to blog, HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY…don’t just keep up with the ‘blog jones’.  I hope the positive feedback I receive about THIS blog is because I pour every ounce into each statement and even if you disagree you KNOW it is from the heart.

I am continuing with stories of my life as an entrepreneur, DJ and corporate business owner and how it now relates to real estate investing.  I will share personal developments so you can parallel your challenges with ones I have already conquered and those I am facing so it may help you both as an investor AND as a person.  I am not afraid to stand out from the crowd, to be looked at differently and be misunderstood (thanks Don R Campbell for this revelation).  My  expression of true thoughts and feelings come back as respect almost 100% of the time.

So for those whom are not visible to me as followers yet as well as the people already following,  I thank you for putting aside ten minutes or so each time to read my postsGreat Speed Forward!!!

  1. Hi Joey, congratulations on sticking with this blogging thing long enough to build up some great content. As I am now learning from experience, the beginning is tough as it takes some time to ramp up visitors with any website. Sometimes you feel nobody is listening, but when you've established a foundation more people start to become interested in what you have to say. When what you write is able to help others, it makes it all worthwhile.

  2. Thanks Daniel, those words of encouragement for my writing is deeply appreciated and I look forward to the resurgence of your blog…I've always enjoyed what you had to say so even if it is just ONE other person you inspire, it's worth it!

  3. Thank you Andrew, you are so right about the beginning of anything as for me this is second nature – I’ve been at the birth of six separate ‘ideas/businesses’ whatever you want to call them and have seen them grow. The difference is with those you monitor them differently and there was no immediate connection or statistics to compare.

I am very appreciative what I have to say is helping others and it means more to me when someone like yourself takes the time to post publically here!

I’ll see you at the next REIN event for sure…

  4. You’re on fire Joey! In the past I’ve felt that nobody was really interested in what I had to say, so I stopped writing, but I now know that was completely the wrong attitude to take… perhaps that decision was even lazy and selfish. We all have a gift to share. I recently read that you should make a decision today that you’re going to help make someone else’s life better. You’re doing that. Keep up the great work!
